We’ve all been to conferences that are either a bunch of talking heads or even worse, panel after panel after panel without a lot of new insights or actionable ideas. Our team at The Reinvention Summit is designing a series of events in a fantastic venue in Dublin, Ireland that aims to change all that.

Conferences are always great for the networking, but the actual programs often leave a lot to be desired

The technology we have today is the worst it will ever be. The organizations we are running today are moving as slowly as they ever will. We’re in the midst of a massive technological shift — from a mass production economy based on fossil fuels to a complex digital economy based on interactions. History suggests that most organizations won’t successfully navigate the transition, especially those that are more traditional. Indeed, you are likely to outlive even the largest companies on the planet today.

Consultancy Accenture found, in a recent report, that it’s not in your head — things really are moving faster and less predictably than they once perhaps did. As they say, “Our Global Disruption Index — a composite measure that covers economic, social, geopolitical, climate, consumer and technology change — shows that levels of disruption increased by 200% from 2017 to 2022. In comparison, the Index rose by only 4% from 2011 to 2016. As such, companies now face a permanent state of change at a pace never seen before.” They argue that to deal with all of this, company leaders are going to need to master at least 5 things:

  1. Embracing and Executing a Total Enterprise Reinvention
  2. Accessing, Creating, and Unlocking Talent
  3. Leading in Sustainability
  4. Capturing the Power of the Metaverse Continuum
  5. Leveraging the Ongoing Technology Revolution

This is a backdrop for why I’m excited to be traveling to Dublin, Ireland in April for the Reinvention Summit, 2025. It’s two full days of programming at the brand new Dublin Royal Convention Centre. The format will include keynotes, of course, but also the “Reinvention Hall of Fame” to offer inspiration and carefully curated examples to learn from; tool-based workshops so that you can immediately apply cutting-edge techniques and interactive breakout sessions with people you might not normally get to mix with.

Attendees will:

  • Connect with industry experts and business leaders who have successfully navigated reinvention and gain actionable insights.
  • Learn cutting-edge techniques and methodologies for staying competitive in a rapidly changing market.
  • Participate in interactive, hands-on workshops that provide practical tools.
  • Build a network with like-minded professionals, creating opportunities for long-term collaborations and knowledge-sharing.

The Reinvention Summit (April 29–30, 2025, Dublin) represents more than just another business conference — it signals a broader shift in management thinking: from change as a problem to be solved, to reinvention as a capability to be mastered.

Who will be there?

Organizers Aidan McCullen and Nadya Zhexembayeva have pulled together a stunning set of speakers and facilitators, many of whom will be there for the entire conference in person (as will I).

Seth Godin (Marketing Hall of Fame member, author of “This Is Marketing” and “Purple Cow”) will speak on finding elegant strategy in chaos.

Charles Conn (Chairman of Patagonia) on sustainable business model reinvention and Patagonia’s decision to double down on purpose.

Dr. Alexander Osterwalder (Creator of the Business Model Canvas and CEO of the platform company Strategyzer) on tools for systematic reinvention.

Michele Wucker (Author of “The Gray Rhino”) on anticipating and addressing obvious dangers on the brink of reinvention.

Kim B. Clark (Former Dean of Harvard Business School and author of truly groundbreaking books) on reinventing leadership.

Elvin Turner (author of a marvelous book Be Less Zombie) on creating an innovation culture.

Friederike Fabritius (author of The Brain Friendly Workplace) on how you can leverage neuroscience to create change.

Ismael Amla (co-author of From Incremental to Exponential) and Global Practice Leader at Kyndryl on how large organizations can anticipate the future and leverage innovation from anywhere.

Ron Boire (Former CEO of Barnes & Noble) on practical organizational and personal transformation.

Kaihan Krippendorff (author of 6 books and CEO of the Outthinker Networks) on how companies can leverage the power of proximity in directing their strategies.

The Event Forbes Described as “the hub of a growing global community”

One fascinating aspect of the Reinvention Summit is that many organizations are using it as a two-day networking and practical pillar, then building their own offsites and retreats around it. This is one of the reasons that Forbes argues it is one of the five most valuable conferences to attend in 2025.

The Outthinker networks and Kyndryl are just two of the organizations that will be bringing teams to Dublin to join the main Summit events but also to take the rest of the week to build bespoke team-building and internal networking challenges for their own organizations.

Valize will be creating additional programming around the main Summit

The team and I will be in Dublin for much of the week that the Summit runs, with even more programming that can be tailored to the needs of your leaders and organizations.

We’re meeting with policy leaders, change agents and those that make the rules in our small country summit. I was very involved in such an activity about 20 years ago with the Enterprise Strategy Group in Ireland. It was widely regarded as having had a transformative impact on the country’s economy and we’re looking forward to this conference having a similar impact for attendees. Enterprise Ireland and delegations from other small countries will be convening to share ideas and policies for a digital, energy-sufficient and globalizing future.

We will also be running some smaller-scale VIP retreats, one focused on peer-to-peer learning and several with one-on-one time with myself and other members of the team. There will be dinners, hands-on workshops and the opportunity to ask questions and discuss your most pressing strategic and reinvention questions.
